📖 The Tale of Bhangarh Fort

Long, long ago, in the deserts of Rajasthan, there was a mighty fort called Bhangarh.

It was full of beautiful palaces, bustling markets, and happy people. Birds sang in the gardens, and children played in the courtyards.

But… every story don’t always have a happy ending. And guess, what ,This one has a curse.

👑 The Princess and the Sorcerer(magician)

In the fort lived a princess named Ratnavati.

She was not only beautiful, but also wise and kind.

People said, “Her beauty shines like the moon!”

Princess Ratnavati was so beautiful that poets compared her to the full moon glowing in the night sky.

Her skin was fair and radiant.

Her eyes sparkled like stars.

Even the queens of nearby kingdoms envied her beauty.

Everywhere she went, people whispered, “Look, that’s Princess Ratnavati… her beauty shines like the moon!” 🌕✨But beauty often attracts not only admiration… but also jealousy and greed.

🧙 The Wicked Sorcerer(Tantarik/Magcian) in the Jungle

In a dark forest near Bhangarh, there lived a tantrik (sorcerer).

His hair was wild and messy.

His eyes glowed red, filled with jealousy.

He spent his nights mixing herbs, drawing strange symbols, and chanting mantras of black magic.

This man was greedy. He wanted power, wealth, and the princess.

But he knew he could never win her heart by honesty—so he turned to dark magic.

🪔 The Perfume Incident of Bhangarh

One day, the princess’s maid went to the market with her.

The princess wanted to buy attar (perfume oil) in a shiny glass bottle.

The sorcerer (Tantarik/Magcian) saw her and thought, “This is my chance!”

He muttered a spell over the bottle:

✨ “The moment she touches this, she will forget everything and fall in love with me!” ✨

But the princess was clever. As she held the bottle, she sensed a strange heaviness, almost as if it was whispering to her.

In a flash, she realized it was enchanted.

🔥 With courage, she threw the bottle on a giant boulder nearby.

The bottle shattered, the oil spread across the rock… and suddenly the rock began to shake and roll down the hill.

Before the sorcerer(Tantarik/Magcian) could run, the rock crushed him beneath its weight. 💥

⚡ The Sorcerer’s(Tantarik/Magcian) Curse

As he lay dying, blood on his lips and rage in his eyes, he shouted:

“Ratnavati, you may have escaped me… but this fort will never escape my wrath! Bhangarh will fall. It will turn into ruins. No soul will ever live here in peace!”

His voice echoed like thunder across the valley.

The Curse Comes True

Soon after, Bhangarh was attacked by enemies. The soldiers fought bravely but were slaughtered. The princess vanished—some say she was killed, others say her spirit still wanders the fort. The once-busy streets became silent. Just as the sorcerer promised, Bhangarh turned into a ghost town.

👻 The Haunted Bhangarh Fort

As years turned into centuries, villagers refused to settle there.

Travelers reported eerie happenings:

Whispering voices in the wind.

Footsteps following them, though no one was there.

The faint sound of anklets, as if a princess was still walking in the moonlight.

Laughter… cold, wicked laughter, as though the sorcerer was mocking from beyond the grave.

People became so afraid that the government (ASI) finally put up a warning board:

⚠️ “No one is allowed inside Bhangarh after sunset or before sunrise.”

Even today, no house in the nearby village has a roof—because the locals believe that the curse makes every roof collapse!
